This Wrangler 832W son is siring low birth weight (avg. 80 lbs.) commercial calves with very high marbling and powerful weaning to slaughter growth in the National Sire Reference Carcass American Hereford Testing Program. He is rated at 5 stars for tenderness by GeneSTAR. His mature rib eye is 24 inches and his weight at birth 78 lbs. actual and 2,800 lbs. at maturity. His dam is the incomparable SBF Royal Gypsy.

Against 491 Hereford contemporaries and 44 Hereford sires in the American Hereford Association 2003 Reference Sire feedlot and carcass testing program, the 46 progeny of MC Ranger 9615 ranked as follows:
Hot Carcass Weight Ratio: 104%
Rib Eye Area Ratio: 102.1%
Intramuscular Fat (IMF or Marbling): 112.6%

Especially strong marbling genetics were found in polled King Ten "J2" calves out of Ranger 9615 daughters.

Ultrasound data on 2009 McMurry bulls is now available. We culled deeply before selecting this group for development. We plan to use several of the bulls, but we are offering some of the top bulls for sale. Scroll down for photos of some of the bulls.

  • (903 & 915) - Two EF K334 Crown Beef N014 bulls are moderate framed 1,100+ lb. YW bulls with outstanding carcass evaluations. (near 16 inch REA)

  • (9103 & 9104) - Two Watchfire 117F bulls are short marked, dark bulls. The heavier bull is 1,300 lbs. Both have excellent ultrasound evaluations.
    The above four bulls are ETs from donor K005, a DOD RHF 424 218 produced in our herd. She is now a 10 year old with an excellent udder.

  • 902 is an excellent EF F745 Frank P230 bull out of R563 donor from Ellis Farms. This bull has a nice pattern. EPDs are over the top.

  • 907 is a Nasdaq out of the P203 Mohican donor with outstanding EPDs.

There will be interest available in W9116 (43003444) a Route 66 bull with REA 106 and IMF 101 current weight almost 1,500 lbs. His dam is Larsen's SHF Glory 352L, by Governor and out of J119 by Interstate. I will use him first this year. 

W931 (43000184) is a Hard Rock/Ranger bull that was offered at our sale. REA 108 IMF 113. I would consider selling him after limited use here. He may have exceptional female producing potential. His mother made DOD. She sold in our sale to PA. See photo below.

I will use W9111 (43003441) the P606 bull on our Frank daughters. He has great phenotype and I am certain where the milk will be. IMF 104. He may be available after limited use here. His dam is Delivery Queen C264.

There are two Stacked Deck/Ranger bulls. One is sold. We will keep the other one for now.

There are several other well bred range bulls. Two bulls will be consigned to PAYS Grass Time sale on April 27, one by PW 633 (Pat Wilson Victor program) and the other will be one of the 117F bulls, unless sold sooner.
